haley brown is a mixed-media visual artist known most widely for her annual “Coping Calendar,” which will enter its fifth season in Fall of 2019. She currently works with traditional materials — watercolor paint, pencil, collage, and pens — and often scans and edits her work digitally. Much of her work is driven by a desire to put more gentleness into the world.

In her early twenties haley began creating self-portraits as a way of reclaiming her body from the medical gaze, and she continues to explore body, Disability, and inner-worlds in her work (alongside a healthy dose of silliness and whimsy).

Depending on the season, haley is available for commissions, collaborations, and vending at events. She is based in Santa Cruz, CA on occupied Popeloutchom (Amah Mutsun) land.
